Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about what Dinty does—and does not do.
Dinty is intentionally narrow: it explains supported ecommerce settlement evidence without becoming a payment processor, bank feed, or accounting system.
What problem does Dinty solve?
Dinty connects supported ecommerce payment activity to provider settlement transactions and payouts. It shows what the provider evidence says should have been settled, what was reported, and which differences or evidence gaps require attention.
Does Dinty move money or issue refunds?
No. At launch Dinty never creates or changes orders, captures or refunds payments, submits dispute evidence, changes payout configuration, or initiates bank or accounting transactions.
Is Dinty the same as bookkeeping?
No. Dinty explains the path from supported commerce payment events to provider settlement transactions and payouts. It does not create accounting entries or prove that a payout arrived in a bank account.
What does a certified payout mean?
Certification means more than arithmetic balance. The required source capabilities, coverage, freshness, semantic meanings, deterministic references, and Dinty policy evidence must all support the conclusion. A payout can add up and still remain uncertified.
What happens when provider data is incomplete?
Dinty shows the limitation and withholds unsafe conclusions. A missing field, unavailable permission, stale import, unknown meaning, and known zero remain distinct states.
How does Dinty match payments and settlements?
Confirmed matches require exact, supported identity evidence such as governed provider references. Similar amounts or dates may help a person investigate, but they do not become a deterministic match on their own.
Which integrations are in the launch scope?
Shopify is the authoritative commerce source for the launch scope. Shopify Payments and Kustom provide supported settlement evidence. Live production activation remains gated until Dinty's readiness and pilot approvals are complete.
Can Dinty handle multiple stores or settlement accounts?
The launch design supports multiple Shopify stores and settlement accounts. Each expected store, gateway, and account route is explicit; provider labels never establish tenant ownership or financial identity by themselves.
Does Dinty claim that it recovered missing money?
No. Dinty may show provider evidence that previously at-risk value was later received or credited. It keeps that fact separate from any claim that Dinty caused the recovery.
How much history is available?
The current launch plan provides 21 visible rolling days on Free and 30 on the paid base, with approximately 3-, 12-, and 24-month calendar-duration add-ons. Actual backfill also depends on provider access and approved data purpose.
Is Dinty available today?
This site is a pre-launch product preview. Customer-visible financial conclusions and production connections remain closed until Dinty's deployment, credential, live-provider, reconciliation, and controlled-pilot gates have passed.
The honest answer is sometimes “not enough evidence yet.”
That is a product feature, not an error state.
